Job description

Exciting Asset Manager opportunity focused on LA & San Francisco with a Prestigious real estate firm with luxury mixed-use / residential high-rise buildings across America.


The West Coast Asset Manager will oversee the asset management strategies and investments for the agency's west coast properties. The Asset Manager may assist the Regional Manager with acquisitions, leasing, sales, construction, and third party management as needed. This person will serve as the main point of contact for the West Coast for the Corporate Office managers.


Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Reviewing monthly operations statements & reporting monthly and quarterly portfolios
  • Financial, Market and Industry Standard reporting and analysis (variance reporting etc.)
  • Negotiating contracts
  • Management investment projections, cash flow and cash flow of properties
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of of local and federal Fair Housing Standards
  • Model full cycle financial analysis from acquisition to disposition for each asset
  • Compile and distribute asset management reports to investors, consultants, and partners periodically
  • Create and maintain capital improvements plans that model returns of three years
  • For each asset, maximize total return by assessing property efficiencies and identifying areas for performance improvement
  • Effectively manage existing team and provide direction to managers on business plans, forecasts, budgets, leases, analysis, leases and approvals
  • Create and manage the project's marketing plan, sales, processing goals, and BVA
  • Assist in the development and approval of operating budgets for properties
  • Manage integration of assets and post acquisition needs of new properties into the firm's portfolio
  • Assist in due diligence and underwriting of potential acquisitions
  • Supervise Property and Project managers and oversee Project Department Heads if there is not a current Project Manager


Qualifications & Experience Needed:

  • Top notch analytical, financial, organizational, and leadership skills required
  • Strong proficiency in budget formulation, analysis, forecasting, and operations
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced and aggressive environment
  • Proficiency with modeling investments in Excel and knowledge of database, financial and project management applications.
  • Experience with Yardi and Microsoft Office applications
  • Degree in Finance, Real Estate or related field preferred
  • 5 years experience in Real Estate Development, Financial Services or related field (property management/leasing/operations)
