Job description

Finvisor provides back-office support and CFO advisory to some of the fastest growing startups in the United States. We manage our clients' accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable as well as CFO needs so that they can focus on growing their product and business.

We are currently looking for a driven individual to join our Advisory department. The Financial Analyst will support the FP&A function by performing financial/actuarial analysis and modeling. They will be responsible for development, maintenance and enhancements of financial reports and forecast models for a portfolio of clients from various industries. This is a fast paced and dynamic position, with a high level of cross-functional interaction with our entire team. You will work closely with our Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Compliance team members in ongoing client support and regular client reporting tasks.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the advisory team in the development, update and enhancement of forecast models for clients from various industries.
  • Maintain monthly financial statement reports - P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Help prepare/maintain ad-hoc financial reports to satisfy client needs.
  • Problem solving, improving systems, and contributing to the success of the team.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience performing similar job functions
  • High level of proficiency with spreadsheet tools (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets) and deck presentation software (Google Slides, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of accounting principles for the purpose of creating/updating financial statements and forecast models
  • Ability to identify data anomalies, and research and investigate the underlying drivers
  • Capable of building creative approaches to complicated problems
  • Innate aptitude for critical thinking and strong problem solving abilities
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while simultaneously meeting company goals and deadlines
  • Experience with QuickBooks & Xero software and other accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, MS Dynamics) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task, with a can-do attitude
