Job description

Gorgias helps e-commerce companies deliver excellent customer service at scale. We integrate email, live chat, voice, Facebook, Instagram, and SMS with Shopify, BigCommerce, and Magento.

Our product creates a unified customer profile by combining emails, live-chat, and social-media messages with e-commerce data such as purchase and delivery info. Combining all this data in a single application makes customer service more efficient and just better. Another fortunate side-effect is that some requests are completely automated using machine learning.

We've been around since 2015, and we're serving over 7000+ e-commerce businesses, including Steve Madden, Timbuk2, Decathlon, and Sports Illustrated.

Our growth exceeded 200% in 2020, so we raised $25 million Series B in December 2020 to double our global team and to accelerate our progress towards our mission to transform support from painful to exceptional for merchants.

About the recruitment team

We are a team of two technical recruiters with our Head of People. We love to get stuff done and measure what we implement for the other teams at Gorgias. Our motto is "people first." Our goal is to grow a people team that is efficient and result-driven while helping each other grow.

What You'll Do

    • Help us hire 100 people by the end of 2022 (technical and non technical roles)
    • Source, screen, cultivate, and close (rinse and repeat)
    • Have a deep understanding of the inner workings of each team you partner with, enabling their vision through a balanced focus on speed, quality, and experience
    • Provide leadership and deep subject matter expertise with hiring teams, with the ability to coach hiring managers about the process
    • Work with our ATS to measure and manage recruitment progress
    • Provide an excellent candidate experience (no matter the outcome with the candidate)
    • Help us elevate the employer brand
    • Take ownership of your recruiting pipelines; we support you!
    • Teach us why recruiting is so important and be a partner to everyone at Gorgias.


Who You Are
    • 2+ years of experience in a talent/recruiter role
    • Ability to analyze and derive insights from data
    • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English
    • Startup or small company size experience (because they are fast and messy)
    • You know how to make the company attractive to new talent
    • You know what tasks are high value and what tasks are worth outsourcing
    • You are a metrics-driven junkie and love to automate simple tasks to optimize the human experience
    • You are a true believer that the company culture is synonymous with hiring the right people
    • You know that recruiting should be treated as an integral part of a company and not just a function


Nice to Have
    • Experience with international recruitment
    • Previous experience with Lever ATS
    • Previous staffing and/or agency experience is a big plus!

Interviewing process
    • Meet your manager, Adeline, Head of People. She will set you up for success in this process.
    • Do a take-home case study where we look for your creative insights. It's the perfect time to show off what you know.
    • Meet the rest of the recruiting team alongside your manager, Adeline. Together, you will review the case study, brainstorm or elaborate on key points, and get to know each other, of course.
    • Meet Romain, CEO, and co-founder of Gorgias. This is a good time to ask difficult questions and see if we are a good match for you!
