About The Role The Position
LendingClub is seeking a Capital Markets Senior Analyst ("Senior Analyst") to join its Investor Group to help design, implement, and manage its capital markets programs. This individual will be an integral member in developing and implementing LendingClub's capital markets strategy as well as monitoring and supporting legacy capital markets products. The successful candidate will help drive the scalability of LendingClub's industry leading investor marketplace by working closely with external market participants including institutional investors, investment banks, and rating agencies. In addition, the Senior Analyst will partner with internal groups such as Finance, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and the Institutional Sales Team to develop and optimize business processes and strategies.
What You'll Do
Primary Responsibilities
- Work closely with institutional investors to manage funding flows across asset classes
- S upport planning, development, and execution of new capital markets programs including Bank and HoldCo funding strategies and marketplace loan sales channels
- Execute transactions settlements
- Monitor and report on performance for previously issued deal
- Research and recommend strategic opportunities for LendingClub's balance sheet investment
- Assist sales team in prospecting new clients, developing sales strategies and managing relationships
- Identify investor-related business challenges and opportunities for improvemen t and recommend strategic or tactical solutions using supporting analysis
About You
Requirements
- BS/BA in business, finance, accounting, economics, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in finance, accounting, investment bank ing, or other related subject -- experience with product structuring or capital markets preferred
- Keen interest in investment products and, generally, intellectually curious
- Desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Professional maturity and sound business judgment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding work ethic and willingness to contribute broadly to achieve team and company objectives
- Excellent attention to detail, extremely accurate and well organized
- Strong analytical skills
- Track record of solving problems through operational experience
