Our ASIC Design team is currently looking for a Functional Safety Design Engineering Lead to help develop this family of products.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be a part of the ASIC Design team working on the GEO processor roadmap. Specific responsibilities of the Functional Safety Design Engineering Lead include
  • Lead the oversight of safety related design elements for each ASIC to ensure compliance to the ISO 26262 standard and safety case completion
  • Lead the methodology effort and associated tool choices for implementing and measuring FuSa compliance across the entire chip design
  • Lead communication efforts to the team on current FuSa design status, verification coverage and top-level measurement criteria
  • Manage the FuSa topics between the ASIC and Software teams to ensure top-level FuSa goals are met
  • Primary point of contact for all safety related concerns during development and proactively working to resolve identified issues
  • Collaborating with OEM and Tier1 partners to ensure that all aspects of the joint safety engineering development are carried out on time and according to plan
  • Own the product assessments by customers and assessors to demonstrate ISO 26262 product compliance
Requirements
  • BSEE/BSCS
  • 2+ years of meaningful experience in development of safety related automotive ICs
  • Possess an understanding of ISO 26262
  • Experience working with assessors and customers in support of functional safety audits
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate successful leadership of an IC project with proven compliance to ISO 26262 is preferred
  • Experience leading safety management efforts for production Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) or autonomous driving platforms
  • Relevant safety personnel certifications (e.g. CFSP, CFSE, or equivalent)
  • A proven record of achieving system safety certifications from third-party assessors such as TUEV SUED, Exida, or equivalent
