Neobits.com is a growing B2B e-commerce Company (internet retailer) based in Santa Clara, CA.

Position

We are seeking to fill the position of Purchasing Assistant for our e-commerce operation in Santa Clara, CA. We are looking for a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in a Purchasing role, preferably in ecommerce or catalog retail.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing order flows, coordinating with suppliers and freight carriers, ensuring smooth order fulfilment, as well as managing customer expectations. The role supports our Purchasing team.

The successful candidate will be expected to take complete responsibility for verifying vendor orders, making sure vendor orders are processed correctly, detecting and addressing order issues early, managing inventory, and coordinating with vendors and freight carriers. The position is responsible for managing customer and vendor exceptions, and closely working with the sales, purchasing and customer care teams to help set and deliver on customer expectations.

Required skills include strong coordination skills, ability to work across teams and stakeholders, ability to make decisions with good judgment, and prioritizing and managing many parallel workflows.

This is a full time position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Verify vendor orders, review order confirmations and catch and fix issues such as sales tax, freight, pricing, duplicate shipments and other issues
  • Manage vendor exceptions - open, follow up and resolve issues
  • Enter orders into vendor systems
  • Manage customer exceptions, such as freight/pricing, lead times, and other issues
  • Manage international shipments
  • Handle freight shipments, get freight quotes, setup will calls
  • Manage inbound shipments, inventory, recommend stocking levels
  • Manage disposition of excess inventory
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams and external partners
  • Assist in day-to-day operations

  • Proficiency with and ability to quickly learn technology, software applications, and phone systems
  • Excellent problem solving, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Analytical, efficient, and thorough.
  • Shipping/receiving experience desirable
  • 10-finger typing speed 60+ wpm (please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
