POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Chief Human Resources Officer

Job Summary: The Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative support to the Human Resources department. This position will also be responsible for coordinating all training program logistics to support the SRCH training program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs reception and administrative duties for the Human Resources Department, including but not limited to copying, faxing, filing, telephone calling, drafting correspondence, data entry, and working on a variety of assigned projects.
  • Schedules specific committee meetings, sends meeting reminders to participants, takes minutes, distributes minutes to participants.
  • Perform Verifications of Employment.
  • Process employee anniversary recognition pins and acknowledgment.
  • Acts as point person regarding new hires. Conducts all post-offer/pre-employment physicals and background screening. Utilizes the HRIS system to onboard new employees and complete day-one paperwork.
  • Creates badges for new hires at onboarding, and replacement staff badges as needed.
  • Keeps conference room schedule up to date and posted.
  • Supports HR Manager and CHRO in development of training program for all levels of employees by conducting coordination of training logistics including scheduling attendees, scheduling presenters, preparing training materials, tracking attendance and entering training records into the HRIS system.
  • Responsible for tracking and documentation of all regulatory training requirements, including but not limited to annual competency assessments and annual mandatory compliance training.
  • Schedules and provides administrative support for New Employee Orientation program to successfully prepare and inspire new employees to be productive, engaged, and happy to work at SRCH.
  • Collects and records follow-up program evaluation of completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Refers employees to SRCH's Employee Scholarship Program and the SEIU-UHW West Joint Employer Education Fund to optimize employees' educational and career development options and opportunities.
  • Other special projects and duties as assigned by HR Manager or CHRO as directed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • Prefer a minimum two years administrative experience in a fast-faced environment.
  • Experience in healthcare environment preferred; experience working in a multi-site organization preferred.


Knowledge and Skills
  • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as HR information systems.
  • Ability to maintain impeccable confidentiality about sensitive employee information.
  • Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently; ability to work independently.
  • Strong public speaker at ease moderating large groups.
  • Driver's license required; ability to travel to different local worksites.
