what you will do…
- Bring M&A and deal-making expertise to acquire vineyards and help develop the brand portfolio.
- Bring innovative solutions to positively impact supply chain management, demand forecasting, and materials planning.
- Build a financial modeling system to forecast performance helping the organization have successful business outcomes and meet strategic goals.
- Provide partnership thorough the organization enabling them with the right information at the right time to help make informed business decisions and effectively manage the P&L.
- Direct ongoing analysis of the P&L for existing and new brand portfolios.
- Foster an engaged and business partner-focused team while mentoring and providing growth opportunities.
- Improve and formalize short-term and long-term quality-based R&D programs.
- Provide strategic management and oversight of the company funds, control of cash collections, bank accounts, and cash disbursements.
- Direct the risk management strategy and maintain the appropriate insurance coverage, including fire, casualty, public liability, business interruption, and workers' compensation.
- Manage positive relationships with accountants, auditors, legal, bankers, insurers, and lending partners; adhere to all regulatory and legal compliance requirements.
- Direct the preparation of all financial reports and develop financial modeling to present quarterly to the Management Team, Owners and Board of Directors.
- Simplify the budgeting process and create dashboards of metrics to help inform and guide the business to maximize growth opportunities, find efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of financial and information systems.
- Upgrade and integrate current technology platforms creating automation and data transparency to inform better decision making and provide access to real-time information.
- Provide for the proper, accurate, and timely filing of all local, state, federal, and international reports, and documents.
- Seek corporate tax advice as necessary, provide for tax analysis, planning, payment of corporate taxes, and Owner tax dividends. Consult and coordinate with respect to the family tax consequences of company tax decisions upon the designee's request.
what you need to have…
- 10+ years of demonstrated accomplishments in senior financial management roles and/or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a recent CFO role.
- Broad proven experience in the areas of finance, accounting, treasury, tax, and internal control processes; with strong working knowledge of best practices in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- A strategic partner to the organization with the ability to identify key business drivers, develop strategic initiatives, and measure financial performance.
- Ability to attract, retain and develop top finance and accounting talent.
- Experience implementing enterprise-wide technology solutions and improving business processes for continuous improvement.
- Experience in privately held companies with trusts' ownership and administration preferred
- Experience with mergers or acquisitions (M&A), divestitures, and any company integration are a plus.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, distribution & production is highly valued, and any wine industry knowledge is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Business Administration; MBA and/or Master's degree desirable.
