Position Highlights

As the Controller, you will build and oversee all financial and accounting functions while using your expertise to improve and streamline processes. You will report directly to the executive team of the company. This is an amazing opportunity to get in with a growing company, have a seat at the table, be part of high level, operational and business decisions and even earn a CFO promotion if you excel in the role.

What You'll Actually Do

· Generating and providing financial statements, reports, analysis and business intelligence to senior management and offering financial guidance based on the data provided

· Maintaining financial controls and compliance for tax entities in multiple different states and managing the preparation and quality control of annual tax returns with the company's tax accounting firm

· Building a high-performance Finance & Accounting team

· Overseeing the forecasting and budgeting process for the company

· Improving operational accounting and finance procedures for a more streamlined process

The Ideal Candidate

· B.S. in Accounting or similar field, CPA preferred

· 10+ years of accounting experience, experience with preparing investor offering documentation a plus

· Experience growing a team in a startup environment - passion for growing, scaling and professionalizing an organization. A professional who understands the importance of rolling up their sleeves as needed but seamlessly able to see the big picture and make the right long-term decisions

· Strong finance and accounting skills across all functional areas: financial, cost and managerial accounting, and business intelligence

· Multiple entity experience and ability to manage multiple directs in remote locations.

· A strong, mature, self-reliant and motivated leader who leads by example not by reaction who relishes the ability to teach, coach, mentor and inspire

Where and How Much

· Target salary $110-135k based on experience/ incentive comp (bonus) / long term incentive (stock options)/ health insurance/ PTO policy

· Denver, CO, In-office role w/10-15% travel and some remote work flexibility and accommodation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
