Lead Recruiter

PAE is seeking a self-motivated, organized full-time Lead Recruiter as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC).Under the direction of the Recruiting Supervisor, the Lead Recruiter will be responsible for leading a team of Recruiters in a fast-paced talent acquisition arena to address program and staffing requirements, develop and train personnel, and use best practices to proactively recruit new employees and meet staffing goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support the Recruiting Supervisor in developing and implementing best practices and methods to accomplish staffing goals required for the program
  • Hold annual strategy sessions with assigned Hiring Managers to ensure agreement on how to successfully staff all assigned positions within the program guidelines
  • Lead maintenance of a high volume and high-quality pipeline of candidates under tight timelines to effectively meet hiring needs and business initiatives
  • Proactively source high quality candidates from a broad range of avenues (e.g. outreach events, networking, referrals, social media and Boolean searches)
  • Competently manage and maintain job postings across multiple platforms
  • Screen candidates for minimum qualifications, as well as suitability to the unique environment at the station and for the season being considered
  • Conduct email pre-screens, phone interviews, propose pay rates and extend offers
  • Negotiate pay with candidates within established guidelines when necessary and seek input from Recruiting Supervisor as needed
  • Prepare offers of employment for review by Supervisor prior to these being sent to successful candidates
  • Promote and utilize best practices from across the organization to enhance recruiting productivity and candidate experience
  • Provide reports regarding the status of recruiting activities as requested by Supervisor
  • Lead selected recruiting process improvement projects
  • Partners with Recruiting Supervisor to make updates to annual hiring manager training
  • Assists in providing Annual Hiring Manager Training.
  • Ensure Offer Letter templates are consistently updated
  • Recommend and implement processes to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Perform other duties as required/assigned


Required Education, Experience, Certificates and Licenses:
  • Five years of experience in full-cycle HR recruiting, including two years in a leadership position

    Expected Skills and Competencies:
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in leading a high-volume, fast-paced recruiting team
  • Proficient in utilizing social media, job boards, networking, and ATS to find top talent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office , including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Professional diplomacy and other customer service skills
  • Ability to coach, mentor and train employees
  • Able to work independently and innovate as needed to solve problems or improve process
  • Professionalism and experience in participating in video work meetings
    Preferred
  • Experience in recruiting for OCONUS and seasonal positions
  • Experience recruiting for work to be performed on a government contract
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems such as Workday


Physical and/or Other Requirements:
  • Able to legally work in the United States without sponsorship

  • PAE recognizes 6 core holidays and allows 3 floating holidays per calendar year to be pro-rated based off of which quarter employment begins.
  • Biweekly pay periods.


Pay Range $81,000 through $95,000 annualized
