Summary

The Financial Planning & Analysis position reports to the CFO and is responsible for leading and directing the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasts process. The FP&A role will review, research and correct data from budgeting, planning, and monthly accounting to ensure the accuracy of the data entered into financial systems. Responsible for preparing various presentations to leadership to include the twelve-month annual budget, rolling and long-term forecasts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Development of twelve month annual, rolling and long term planning, forecast, budget and rate information
  • Review, research and correct data from budgeting, planning and rates processes
  • Ensure accuracy of data entered into the financial systems
  • Develops budgets, rates, accurate forecasts, comprehensive schedules and templates
  • Provides variance analysis to budget and forecasts
  • Assists in preparation and maintenance of three- year financial plan
  • Design monthly financial reporting package and information dashboard
  • Identify and analyze key performance drivers of business
  • Become value-adding business partner to department leaders
  • Supports the CFO with strategic and operational planning and implementations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possess a solid understanding of the organizational structure and is able to accurately analyze results, identify possible issues, make recommendations, and support conclusions
  • Builds and maintains relationships with business partners, finance leaders and stakeholders
  • Thorough understanding US GAAP and accounting concepts
  • Shares information and expertise with team members and keeps team and leadership informed on progress and issues affecting company financial performance
  • Collaborates with other departments to resolve data discrepancies and issues
  • Reviews process efficiencies and makes recommendations for process improvement
  • Strong knowledge of Financial systems and reporting software and advanced Excel skills

Education & Formal Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field - preferred

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience - preferred
