Job Description
The focus of this position is to operate as a team leader for the Language Network Specialist team in the Americas region, to oversee and execute Language Network Specialist activities, and to work on various projects to improve efficiencies, profitability and quality of language services. This position reports to the Manager, Global Partner Network.

The Language Network Specialist team manages the global language trainer network by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and actively managing and coaching qualified trainers and partner schools. Additional responsibilities include running RFPs, negotiating rates and contracts, and leveraging the volume of Cartus programs with the global language trainer network to manage profitability of programs.This position works closely with the Language Consultants, the Product Development Specialist, and Language Network Specialists in all regions.

Team Leadership

  • Provide support and coverage for the Manager, Global Partner Network
  • Give input on hiring of new team members
  • Train and mentor, new and existing team members
  • Act as coverage when the Manager, Global Partner Network is unavailable
  • Participate in and occasionally lead weekly departmental meetings
  • Give feedback on systems and processes and suggest changes where appropriate
  • Lead projects to improve LNS operations in the Americas region, and globally, as needed
  • Provide support to other regional offices when necessary
Oversight of Employed Trainers
  • Oversee the day-to-day relationship with the Professional Employment Organization that employs our trainers in certain states
  • Raise questions to the XcelHR HR Manager and Cartus management as needed to ensure employees are managed appropriately
  • Provide guidance to the team about how to handle management issues with employed trainers
  • Oversee trainer billing audits and ensure processes are being followed in accordance state laws
Planning and Trend Analysis
  • Review and analyze program volume and need for strategic, immediate, or anticipated requirements for new language trainers and/or schools
  • Research locations, language schools, and internal global trainer network for specific programs within the required ILS timeframe
Recruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding
  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy of freelance language trainers and partner schools
  • Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media, etc.
  • Conduct interviews and filter candidates for specific program types
  • Accelerate the hiring process to fill in positions required to support a pending language program
  • Support RFI and RFP processes
  • Onboard freelance language trainers, schools, and their representatives to the Cartus Global Trainer Network
  • Maintain the global language trainer and partner school database
Supplier Management
  • Maintain regular contact and correspond with the global language trainer and partner school network
  • Ensure minimum training of new trainers and schools is fulfilled
  • Coach trainers and partner school representatives, in collaboration with the Product Development team on the Cartus signature quality process, including monitoring activity in the trainer portal
  • Support curricula design and materials selection in collaboration with the Product Development team
  • Coach trainers and partner school representatives on Cartus forms and procedures
  • Review QA feedback and identify coaching opportunities on teaching methodologies and other skill gaps and provide regular feedback to trainers and partner school representatives in collaboration with the Product Development team
  • Collaborate with the Product Development team and Program Specialist team on trainer network strategies, escalation resolution, coaching sessions, trainer developmental sessions, and network community development
  • Track trainers' and partner schools' performance, program evaluations, fees, and other standards and conduct regular informal and formal review sessions to foster positive partnership, collaboration, and open communication
  • Fulfill other duties as needed to support the continuous improvement of the trainer network and overall quality of Cartus language programs
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OTHER DUTIES
  • Design and build dashboards in collaboration with reporting
  • Communicate language trainer network news, statistics, celebrations, and general updates to the broader Cartus team
  • Support the wider Cartus team with knowledge and understanding of language services
  • Review and act on reports provided by Everwise, including (but not limited to) customer activity, utilization, and disputes of hours taken
  • Act as product technical rep/subject matter expert both internally and externally as needed
  • Identify and suggest areas for improvement, streamlining, efficiency, both internally and externally - lead projects to execute on these ideas.
  • Support and represent CARTUS and ILS in trainer networking or related events
  • As part of a larger team, maintain and update the Everwise platform
  • Coordinate and manage special Language Department projects
  • Provide coverage for colleagues as required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferably in Linguistics, Modern Languages, International Studies, Education
  • Minimum 2 years teaching or language trainer recruitment experience
  • Training and/or Learning and Development experience
  • Personnel management experience a plus
  • Second language proficiency
  • 6 months + international living experience
