This Recruiter position at The Hartford will be primarily aligned with our Personal Lines Inbound Sales business, and hiring sales agents, as well as being flexible to hire for other high volume and professional roles, as needed.
You'll be responsible for filling up to 190 positions annually across multiple locations, including fully remote roles. Model-driven or class hiring, accounts for approximately 1,800 hires annually at The Hartford and can range from a class size of 5 to 24 hires.
Responsibilities
- Recruit qualified and diverse candidates for high-volume openings and anticipated needs.
- Utilize a consultative approach for sourcing, assessment and selection in order to recruit qualified candidates for strategic needs in a cost-effective manner.
- Interview up to 10 candidates daily to support the class hiring efforts.
- Work with business lines to understand and anticipate talent needs and related issues.
- Develop and implement hiring strategies to address ongoing talent needs.
- Utilize creative, customized approaches, including social media to supplement traditional sourcing methods.
- Recommend business approaches to improve recruiting ability (e.g., split work schedules).
- Manage recruitment cycle for candidates that apply online and leverage a number of sourcing techniques, including but not limited to networking, social media and job board usage.
- Establish effective working relationships with colleges, technical schools and professional organizations to ensure an adequate supply of qualified talent.
- Participate or lead recruiting related projects.
- Maximize use of technology and tools and maintain staffing standards.
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years recruiting experience in a high volume, call center environment and/or insurance industry preferred.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills; able to "juggle" responsibilities effectively in a high volume, fast-paced service environment.
- Experience using technology to streamline the recruitment process to reach both passive and active candidates; experience building a pipeline in advance of need is preferred.
- Excellent relationship building and consultative skills and the ability to partner with and coach business partners and stakeholders.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and decision making skills required.
- Working knowledge of Workday preferred.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees.
