Job description
Software Company with a presence in Texas, Florida and California is searching for a Director of Corporate IT to join their team. This company offers a remote monitoring and management SaaS tool that helps MSP and IT consulting companies manage their customers. The Director of Corporate Information Technology (CorpIT) role is a pivotal role with company-wide visibility, deliverables stretching across every department, and includes high levels of responsibility and leadership. As part of our leadership and core information technology team, the Director of Corporate IT will directly contribute to the productivity and momentum of the company, as well as our 5,000+ customers.
NOTE: We are searching for remote candidates in the Texas, Florida and/or California only.
The Director of Corporate IT and their team will help own and solve challenges that include:
- finding security vulnerabilities in our corporate IT environments and corporate services/tools/applications,
- applying a multi-layered approach to protecting our corporate data privacy; and
- information security, and engraining cybersecurity into the company culture

Education & Experience
- BS in a technology discipline (or equivalent)
Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years managing direct reports and mentoring/training/growing junior engineers
- 5+ years managing budgets, cost centers, and vendor management/selection
- 10+ years writing documentation and specifications, producing reports, and presenting to an executive-level audience
- 5+ years developing corporate IT policies and procedures, writing documentation in support of these, and implementing the policies and procedures (Manager)
- 10+ years of expertise with the system administration of Linux and Windows systems
- 5+ years of expertise with the system administration of MacOS systems
- 10+ years of experience with automation/scripting (shell, PowerShell, PERL, Java, Python) for the administration and management of systems
- 10+ years of expertise in datacenter, enterprise, or corporate IT environments/infrastructure
- 10+ years of expertise with TCP/IP & UDP protocols and networking design/architecture
- 5+ years of governance and oversight with corporate environment management and security:
- Endpoint protection o Backup and recovery
- Systems and office machines (printers, faxes, phones, desktops, laptops, etc.)
- Mobile devices (cellular phones, tablets, smart devices, etc.)
- Hardware image deployment
- Operating System and application updates
- 5+ years of experience in opening new offices:
- Establishing ISP services
- Architecture, design, implementation, and deployment of office networks (wired and wireless)
- Establishing/enforcing policies and procedures design to achieve/maintain security and regulatory compliance requirements
- 5+ years of managing remote teams of direct reports
- 2+ years of supporting remote teams and geographically diversified departments and workforces
Responsibilities
- Take a proactive, interactive approach, while you lead and mentor a team to:
- Implement new security policies/procedures as established by the Company's InfoSec/SecOps team
- Implement new security methods or tools to add on to a layered defense
- In addition to guidance from the Company's InfoSec/SecOps team, have independent reviews of corporate IT, perform reviews, and reconnaissance of the Company's corporate infrastructure and networks
- In addition to guidance from the Company's InfoSec/SecOps team, have independent reviews of Corporate IT security to ensure the hardening systems and services
- Develop comprehensive, accurate reports and presentations for technical and executive audiences
- Stay current on the latest news or findings in the corporate IT and Regulatory Compliance spaces-how does this impact Company immediately, and what are the long-term implications?
- Coach and develop team members to grow their skillsets to the next level
- Provide data and information to influence executive leadership and creative direction on global strategic initiatives

Compensation:
This is a fulltime position offering a salary between $120-150K - depending on experience.
