Job Summary:

The HR department at EveryAction is looking for an enthusiastic Human Resource Coordinator to join our growing team. This role will be integral to the department, helping us round out our diverse scope of work. This HR Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources and work closely the HR team to support our staff with their HR needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department.
  • Support hiring managers with posting jobs and conducting phone screens.
  • Completes, verifies, and maintains I-9 files.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of types of medical, dental, and vision plans.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 2-3 years of HR related experience preferred.
  • SHRM certification is a bonus.
