Human Resource & Finance Specialist ~nonprofit D.C. area

My client is a trade association headquartered in downtown Washington, D.C. seeking a Human Resource & Finance Specialist. The Human Resource & Finance Specialist will report to the COO and be responsible for all human resources, accounting, and administrative operations for the organization. The Human Resource & Finance Specialist must be proficient in QuickBooks and will process accounts payable, receivables and payroll and daily human resources duties. Candidates with a background in benefits, onboarding, operations, and bookkeeping are strongly encouraged to apply. The Human Resource & Finance Specialist will be responsible for the following duties:


•Responsible for all HR matters, including benefits, employee relations, and on-boarding

•Process accounts payable, receivable, payroll in QuickBooks

•Perform bank reconciliations, accounting, grants, collections

•Development and updating of organization's policies and procedures and oversee implementation of policies and procedures, including the Employee

Handbook

•Develop, maintain, and prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

•Contract and vendor maintenance

•Maintaining vendor files and facilities for the organization


Requirements:

BS/BA degree

2+ year experience in Accounting/Full Charge Bookkeeping

2 + year experience in human resource generalist duties

Experience in QuickBooks

Proficient in MS Excel
