Job description
Are you a top investment banking analyst or associate looking for that next step in your career? Are your excellent interpersonal and communication skills underutilized? If so, the private equity team at Haveli is adding associates - and we want professionals like you!
Haveli is a new Austin-based investment firm focused on investing across the entire capital lifecycle. Led by Brian Sheth and a team of experienced and successful private equity professionals, Haveli is a rare combination of both established and entrepreneurial with a culture built upon high levels of ethics, integrity, collaboration, transparency, and loyalty.
At Haveli, we take a thematic approach to investing, helping entrepreneurs and operators unlock value through organic growth initiatives, operational best practices, and strategic acquisitions. We are building a firm that mirrors the makeup of the United States because we truly believe in the transformative and generational power of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and opinions, and we are deeply committed to improving the sustainability and energy efficiency of our operations and investments.
We want to turn our analysts and associates into consummate investment professionals who will join us for their career. You will be given extensive training and have responsibilities you won't see in other programs, and as we build up our firm, you will grow as fast as you are capable.
If you are a skilled financial modeler and a great communicator looking for an exit from banking with real upside, we want to hear from you!
What You Will Be Doing
- Building investment models based on company and industry data, identifying functional areas of opportunity, and working with the team to execute transactions
- Generating insights and recommendations about the suitability of investment opportunities
- Working with management teams during diligence and post-close
- Admin work, pitch creation, deal sourcing (cold calling), or fundraising
- Focusing only on your hard skills; rather, you will train, learn, and grow in all aspects of professional matters, including verbal and written communication
- You will be responsible for the financial models for each acquisition. We need all incoming associates to have substantial financial modeling expertise and experience
- You will lead various efforts related to generating investment theses and executing on them
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Full-time experience in investment banking, equity research, or private equity
- Able and willing to live in Austin, TX, and commute to this job's location
- Able to live and work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (i.e., U.S. citizen or permanent resident)
Haveli Investments is a new and rapidly growing investment firm led by Brian Sheth, former President of Vista Equity Partners, with investment and operating professionals headquartered in Austin, TX, and spread throughout the US. We invest across the entire capital lifecycle.
