Product Owner

100% Remote.

Contract to hire

Ideal Candidate: Someone with Product Ownership experience or Systems Analyst experience. Experience communicating or translating business needs to technical teams. Web/Mobile experience preferred.

Collaboration Tools and/or software will they be utilizing: JIRA and/or VersionOne for writing User Stories and managing team backlog. Development team will be working on Web/Mobile application.

  • Operates as the business-aligned Product Owner for an Agile Development team focused on improving the Customer Experience for Life & Annuity customers
  • Leads requirements gathering effort on epics and documents story details based on the epics.
  • Translates and conveys the overall business vision into technical requirements and tactics for product development.
  • Serves as key decision maker on priorities of product backlog, and works to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Proposes solutions to stated business problems, assesses alternative solutions and identifies gaps based on knowledge of the product and how clients use the product.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders and/or management to gather and support prioritization of complex product requirements, providing recommendations, as appropriate.
  • Manages dependencies in and across sprints and releases.
  • Provides direction and collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders on complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to clarify development requirements.
