Senior Administrative Associate, Technical & Safety Programs
This position is currently a hybrid remote/in-office position.
American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) is looking for an experienced, organized and detail-oriented Senior Associate, Technical and Safety Programs. AFPM is a dynamic trade association representing high-tech American manufacturers of virtually the entire U.S. supply of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, other fuels and home heating oil, as well as the petrochemicals used as building blocks for thousands of vital products in daily life, from paints to plastics, space suits to solar panels, and medicines to mobile phones.
The Senior Associate, Technical and Safety Programs provides overall support to the Vice President, Technical and Safety Programs and the Program team as needed, including logistical and administrative assistance, conference and speaker coordination, tracking and maintaining data and deliverables, and both internal and external communication with AFPM staff, AFPM members, and other AFPM industry and business contacts.
This is a full-time non-exempt position reporting to the Vice President, Technical and Safety Programs.
Responsibilities
- Supports multiple, nationwide meetings, conferences, and events by mastering our speaker management system, managing speaker correspondence and scheduling, and responding in a timely manner to all information requests.
- Maintains assigned committee documents, calendars and rosters, and makes relevant updates to online membership resources.
- Researches emerging and relevant trends and supports the administration and improvement of departmental projects, meetings and other initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Two to four years of administrative support experience in a similar environment; trade association experience a plus.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; proficiency in association management software and applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, teamwork skills and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational and administrative skills.
