Role Summary

The Senior Business Analyst is involved in the design or modification of business systems or IT systems. The Senior Business Analyst interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their problems and needs. The Senior Business Analyst documents and analyzes business needs and requirements.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive identification of requirements and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
  • Determine and develop user requirements ensure maximum usability
  • Evaluate, analyze, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery of status reports to all appropriate parties
  • Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
  • Develop and modify processes and procedures related to the projects performed on the program
  • Plan, execute, and distribute reports and analyses based on BA data as required
  • Meet all deadlines for monthly and quarterly reports, ad hoc reports, and local project management
  • Create informative, engaging presentations for management as required

What we need from you:

  • 7+ years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity
  • 4+ years' experience in developing requirements and providing business analysis support to federal customers
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who is flexible, delivery-oriented
  • Practical experience generating process documentation and reports
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science

Bonus Points:

  • Master's degree
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio
  • Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions
  • Extensive experience with data visualization
  • Highly proficient technical writing capabilities
