Business Development Manager Job Description
We are looking to hire a highly motivated and customer-oriented Business Development Manager that can build a book of business through proactive engagement and strategic, disciplined prospect management in the post acute care space. In this role you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities by developing, coordinating and implementing sales plans designed to capture new business opportunities within a defined region. Ultimately, an outstanding business development manager should demonstrate excellent negotiation, customer service, and consultative sales skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets.
Business Development Manager Responsibilities
- Develop strategic sales planning with executives, set objectives and methods to reach them.
- Close new business by developing and negotiating contracts with business operators.
- Work closely with other departments to coordinate account set-up implementation of service delivery.
- Scheduling meetings with potential and existing customers, which includes Admins, DONs, RDOs, and other health care professionals.
- Presenting company products and services to potential and existing customers and persuading them to utilize the company's services.
- Identifying customers' needs and recommending company products or services that best fulfill those needs.
- Maintaining solid working relationships with new and existing customers by providing excellent after-sales service.
- Arranging conferences and group events for medical professionals within their territory.
- Regularly attending industry events, training, company meetings, briefings, and educational workshops within their territory.
- Researching competitors' products, pricing, and market success.
- Promptly submitting relevant documents pertaining to the sales role to supervisors.
- Preparing sales reports as well as territory analyses and submitting them to management exclusively utilizing the SalesForce platform.
Business Development Manager Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, medical office management, or related field is preferred.
- Certified Sales Professional (CSP) certification is advantageous. Valid driver's license.
- Proven medical sales experience. Experience in post acute care will be highly considered.
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology, legislation, and regulation. Proficiency in technology platforms both web and ios based.
- Excellent organizational and consultative sales skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
Compensation:
- 60k Base Salary
- Commission plan
- Expense account
- Car allowance
- Phone allowance
**Total Compensation is 120-150k a year at quota.

In recognition of the potential health threat that the COVID-19 virus poses to the population Theoria Medical serves and in compliance with Omnibus COVID-19 Health Care Staff Vaccination Emergency Rule, Theoria Medical requires that all applicants provide proof that they are fully vaccinated prior to providing care in any facility Theoria Medical services. If you are not currently vaccinated but are interested in the position, you may still apply but will need to provide proof of having received the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine on or before December 5, 2021 or proof of a one-dose (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine. You will also be required to provide proof that you have received the second dose of a 2-dose COVID-19 vaccine on or before January 4, 2022.
Acceptable forms of proof include: CDC COVID-19 vaccination record card (or legible photo of the card); documentation from a health care provider or electronic health record; or State immunization information system record. Those vaccinated outside of the U.S. may present a reasonable equivalent of the previous examples.
