Operation New hope is a non-profit in the Springfield area of Jacksonville. The Ready4work program (under Operation New Hope) is responsible for providing job training, job placement and other basic support services to ex-offenders on probation or released from jail or prison. Ready4Work operates their program in downtown Jacksonville (Springfield) and in St Augustine.

Position Overview: The primary purpose of the Job is to oversee the Jacksonville and St. Augustine facilities to assure a safe and conducive operation that supports the staff working on our campus.

The Essential Duties & Responsibilities are listed here but are not all inclusive

  • Oversee all vendors that support the local operation including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, roofers, elevator, landscape, cleaning, monitoring (security and fire), breakroom supplies, trash, handyman, inspectors (elevator, fire, COJ) and pest control.
  • Overseeing the vendors includes the following:
  • Opening tickets (with vendors) as necessary when there is an issue at the building
  • Coordinating with the vendors for access to the building while on site
  • Reconciling the invoice for services and submitting for payment
  • Assuring that preventative and scheduled maintenance occurs timely
  • Obtaining quotes from vendors for project related work
  • Responsible for minor maintenance/repairs
  • Responsible to organize and implement projects that relate to the facilities (i.e. additional security measures, flooring project, setup for VIP events, etc)
  • Responsible to oversee all safety initiatives and documentation
  • Manages the Maintenance Inbox to coordinate resolution of tickets that are raised by the staff
  • Act as the back-up for Fleet Management
  • Role does require some early morning / late afternoon interactions with vendors

General Qualifications / Experience / Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of property management experience or customer service or project management
  • Prior experience working at a non-profit is preferred
  • Must be comfortable working around an underserved population
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs
