JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Paid Search Strategist is a newly created position on Ensurem's Digital Marketing team reporting to the Paid Media Manager. This new Strategist will play an integral role in managing, optimizing, and expanding Ensurem's multimillion dollar monthly paid search effort. They will collaborate with their Manager, team members, and cross-functional associates on the Creative, Compliance, and Engineering teams to scale our performance ecosystem into additional channels like display, social media, affiliate, etc. This senior position is for candidates who thrive in a highly fast-paced performance-driven environment where you must be comfortable often pivoting because paid search is a significant driver of new customers and revenue growth for Ensurem. The Specialist will be working on paid search accounts across multiple platforms, including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook Ads, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and more. You'll also have plenty of opportunities to innovate and see your impact on the company. Because of the critical importance of this role, we are looking for a subject matter expert with hands-on experience and expertise in managing large PPC budgets with an ownership mentality, which is vital in this new role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
How your role expectations will progress in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:
30 Days:
- Learn how our Medicare insurance marketplace operates and how you'll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers
- Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Ensurem values
- Review our current PPC and performance marketing strategy and gain an understanding of current and planned projects, cost, and expected results
90 Days:
- Enhance our approaches, methods, or technologies to mitigate risks and improve efficiencies
- Dive deep into the data and share input in daily stand-ups with the VP of Marketing and weekly performance reviews with your Manager, making recommendations and highlighting insights
- Analyze media spend mix to help the company reduce CAC and increase LTV to achieve higher ROI on spend
- Drive testing strategy for ad copy and landing page experiences to drive lift and improve the customer experience
180 Days:
- Design and implement process improvements that positively impact the team and drive results
- Mentor others, playing an active role in elevating the skill sets of those you work with
- Establish standard operating procedures [SOPs] for testing to effectively challenge legacy strategies and promote innovative ideas across paid search
- Compile industry challenges, news, opportunities, and trends for the team to utilize towards more significant strategy development and optimization
- Continue to scale new performance marketing channels and measure incremental impact like display, social, affiliate, etc.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
- Expert level knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Facebook Ads
- Hands-on experience with display, social, affiliate tools-i.e., Facebook Ads Manager, GV 360, Criteo, Radius Impact, or similar
- Expert level of proficiency in Google Analytics, Data Studio, and Looker-and exposure to measurement, incrementality, and attribution platforms
- Agile mindset and adaptable in a fast-paced culture which requires the ability to pivot quickly
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or marketing
- 3+ years in paid search PPC managing large multimillion dollar budgets
- 3+ years of proven experience in other performance marketing channels like display, social, affiliate, etc.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
