Job description

Solomon Page is looking for a smart, fearless, and social media-loving Copywriter to join our clients Digital and Creative team. You will work closely with our Associate Creative Director, internal account teams and external clients through all stages of the creative process, contributing to campaign ideas and strategies from brainstorming to conceptual development. The copywriter is both a storyteller and conceptual powerhouse, able to create unique ideas and explore the multiple possibilities offered by social platforms and their ever-evolving formats.

You know how to work within a brand's voice and tone and make it fit any social platform or moment. You thrive on a fast-paced environment, constantly creating ideas, editorial calendars, curating and producing content that drives engagement. You understand the social media universe, including the way brands interact with influencers and execute paid media campaigns. Experience writing for a hospitality and/or destination brand is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • High-level concepting, tactical program ideation and copywriting for social media content that generate conversation and brand engagement.
  • Own the brand story for our clients across all social platforms maintaining a consistent voice and vision.
  • Understand target audience to develop compelling creative.
  • Create branded content that is insightful, culturally relevant and inherently sharable.
  • Successfully communicate (present and sell-in) creative ideas and the strategic rationale behind them.
  • Collaborate with agency team members from creative, account, production, PR, strategy, planning and analytics to produce smart, powerful work.
  • Proofread written work and online content.
  • Juggle multiple assignments and work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Manage time and establish priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands.
  • Stay on top of trends through business/industry monitoring and outside resources.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in an agency environment working with marketing, advertising or PR campaigns that include social media.
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in English, Advertising or Communication related major.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading capabilities with demonstrated experience in conceptual writing in marketing or advertising, web, product, brand messaging and social copy.
  • Short-form and long-form writing skills in a variety of voices and tones.
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptualize creatively.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing day-to-day changes at every level of detail.
  • A natural flare for the unique, the buzz-worthy and the culturally relevant.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish and Travel category experience are a plus (but not strictly required).
