Structural Technologies is the exclusive licensee of VSL® post-tensioning systems in the United States. Structural Technologies is the single source for VSL® products and technical support in the United States - which have been used throughout the world since 1956 to build, repair and strengthen bridges, buildings, tanks, and special structures.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new and strengthen existing client relationships throughout Florida. As a Business Development Manager for VSL, you will work independently within the territory calling on contractors and engineers in the commercial/public sector to develop relationships and project opportunities which utilize our post-tensioning and related value-add products (such as shear rails, barrier cable, lockable dowels, etc.). This will primarily include collaborating with clients to supply post-tensioning and related products for new build construction projects, along with identifying opportunities for repair of existing post-tensioning, and other concrete-related services the company offers. Business Development Managers in this role are supported by Engineering, Estimating, and Operations team members to develop high value post-tensioning solutions that meet the needs of our valued clients. This career opportunity is based in our Pompano Beach, FL office, and will require day-to-day travel throughout the state of Florida.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Prospecting, developing, maintaining, and expanding business relationships with concrete contractors, general contractors, and engineers throughout Florida.
  • Setting up and/or participating in sales calls, presentations, proposal review meetings, local trade association events, trade shows, and other activities including all follow-up generated from client-facing events.
  • Creating or participating in development, presenting, and following up on proposal and bid requests, specific to customer requirements.
  • Proactively managing key accounts and expanding the Company's business relationship with them.
  • Achieving annual sales goals.

Successful candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this exciting opportunity:
  • Candidates who possess a Bachelor's Degree may be given preference.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product sales focused on commercial/public contractors and engineers in Florida.
  • Strong knowledge of the Florida market (including concrete contractors, general contractors, and engineering firms in the commercial/public sector).
  • Track record of success in achieving sales goals.
  • Experience utilizing and managing day-to-day sales activity and opportunity development within a CRM system.
  • Candidates who have experience selling concrete-related products will be given preference.
  • Local travel 70%-80% of the time and limited overnight travel may be necessary to cover the Florida territory.
