Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Associate Project Manager.Summary:As an Associate Project Manager, you are an important member of our Program Management Office (PMO) organization. In our fast-paced, dynamic environment, you will contribute to a multi-disciplinary software engineering organization and to cross department projects and programs from early concept through requirements, development, technical and sales readiness, to market delivery. You get exposure to managing program/project schedules, learn how to identify risks, solve problems, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. This position is an in-office position (with occasional flexibility as needed).Duties: * Associate Project Manager will provide project support for our clients (internal/external) the creation of project plans, critical paths, and managing timelines * Work with clients and various internal teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and documented, and that projects are managed and delivered according to expectation * Assist in the creation, communicate, maintain, and drive project timelines for R&D projects * Follow processes, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance for the Project Management Office * Understand the objectives on all projects and provide direction on deliverables relating to production and execution * Collaborate with team members on ways to improve internal processes and client programs * Organize, attend, and participate in project status meetings, prepare, or create documentation and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings * As an Associate Project Manager, you will assist with logistics and planning for virtual and in-person team events and gatherings and provide hands-on assistance as needed during events * Partner closely with our internal teams to support in the planning and execution of important technology announcements related to the R&D leadership team * Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business, Web Design and Development, Computer Science, Marketing, Communication, or equivalent experience * Minimum 1 year of working experience in project management (digital project management is a plus) * Proficiency in computer skills in Google product suite, Jira, Smartsheet, etc. * Proficiency in computer skills in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and project planning software such as MS Project, Workfront, Jira, etc. * Excellent client-facing and internal written and verbal communication skills * Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills * Confident, assertive, self-motivated, quick learner * Calm, cool and collected under pressure. Having strong interpersonal skills is key * Passionate about success for yourself, the client, and your support team * A team player who also works well independently, thinks creatively & critically, solves problems, and takes initiative * Exceptional interpersonal, and communication skills * Willing to work on new challenges but remain focused on your regular duties * Comfortable with tight deadlines; Organized, efficient, detail-oriented, and able to multitask * Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced work environment and constantly changing * Ability to contribute to the success of the ATL office by performing administrative functions when needed Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
