General Summary:

Responsible for working with both existing customers and prospects in an assigned territory to drive business via telephone solicitation of new product demonstrations and a multitude of small equipment, software and system add-ons. While following established strategies, work closely with both management and outside sales teams to achieve and surpass established profitable annual sales goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to aggressively prospect (primarily via telephone) and close business in assigned product portfolio with a time-sensitive sales cycle
  • Develop a deep understanding of assigned software and small equipment products with an overall knowledge of all aspects of Carestream Dental's solutions/products
  • Responsible for uncovering new prospective customers, cultivating/ maintaining customer base in assigned territory by placing outbound calls to current customers to uncover/analyze their needs and set on site product demonstrations for the outside sales team.
  • Respond to incoming customer calls to obtain orders for various small equipment, software or system add-ons and take a consultative selling approach to not only answer their questions, but look for opportunities to sell them additional products based on their needs
  • Drive sales through eCommerce platform through customer education and demonstrations
  • Consistently make a targeted volume of calls each day while maintaining high talk times and overall metric ratings including quota achievement for the assigned product portfolio (60+ outbound calls/day)
  • Play a critical role in managing all assigned customer accounts and routinely help triage their needs to the correct department or individual who can assist them
  • Regularly help create and engage in assigned outbound call campaigns to proactively penetrate untapped customer market and seek out new business
  • Prepare complex pricing quotes requiring detailed knowledge of company products
  • Manage and maintain a list of references and competitive product offerings
  • Occasionally work trade shows and user conferences within an assigned territory
  • Perform special duties as directed by management

Key/Critical Competencies:

  • Detailed knowledge of company functions, product capabilities, service options, hardware configurations, productions and marketing policies
  • Must be an energetic, driven and self-motivated individual with strong telephone sales/closing skills, professionalism and a customer focus
  • Past success in capital equipment product sales is a plus
  • The position is a supporting role to multiple sales territories; must be able to work with a wide variety of individuals and manage time to meet both individual and shared goals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to problem solve and make decisions independently
  • Well-organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous sales or military experience will be considered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
