Job description

St Francis Hospital

Performs necessary administrative, secretarial, clerical, receptionist, scheduling, and staff support functions to meet the needs of the department.



Job Requirements:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Formal training in secretarial work

- 1-2 years' business school or college desirable

Minimum Work Experience:

- 1-3 years preferred

Required License/Certification:

- None

Required Skills:

- Accurately type 50-60 wpm

- Proficient in basic computer use and Microsoft Office programs

- Basic medical terminology

- Flexibility in scheduling

- Excellent verbal communication in person and on telephone

- Excellent written communication

- Read, write, understand and communicate clearly in English

- Organize and prioritize work; Work independently

- Work collaboratively with others in a complex healthcare setting

- Partner with physicians

- Excellent internal and external customer service
