We are seeking a solution-oriented business development professional who is motivated and curious to learn more about global consumer markets and emerging consumer trends and who has a proven history of success in consultative sales.
As an IBDE, you will be responsible for targeting new clients across the Financial Services sector in North America. You will be a highly self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record for selling in the business-to-business arena. You will have the tenacity, drive, commercial awareness, and persuasiveness to find the right contacts and sell the benefits of our diverse set of solutions.
Key responsibilities:
* Generate sales with new clients in your assigned territory (US and Canada) across both syndicated and custom research solutions.
* Identify end users, key sponsors, influencers, and decision makers at target companies and ensure that you understand their roles and objectives, and that they understand the benefits and applications of using our data and analysis.
* Create a sales plan on how to reach your monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and ensure consistent implementation of the plan.
* Take a creative approach to targeting and engaging with prospects and converting project specific needs into productive long-term partnerships.
* Strategically develop new prospects through cold calling, cold emails, and social selling.
* Hit or exceed your personal sales targets.

Requirements
* Bachelors degree and proven excellence in a consultative sales role with at least 2 years of B2B selling experience (prior subscription-based products sales knowledge a plus)
* Self-motivated and able to thrive in a targets-driven environment
* An outstanding personal sales track record
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a strong commercial awareness
* Experience with financial service and/or research sales preferred but not required in depth training program offered prior to selling.
* Self-motivated, organized and effective at managing time and prioritizing among competing tasks
* Globally minded with a passion for consumer markets/trends and willing to learn
* Problem solver with experience identifying business challenges and delivering client-focused solutions
* Ability to collaborate well with colleagues in other departments and peers around the world
* Intellectually curious, proactive, strongly ethical, team player
