Job description
Job Summary: Organize and monitor the scheduling, budget, and technical performance of company and client projects from initiation through delivery. May facilitate the gathering of requirements from the customer, development of project objectives and scope and serve as liaisons between the customer and delivery team. Responsibilities may include supporting the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. May help develop new business and expand product lines in cooperation with the Sales function. Ensures adherence to master plans & schedules, develop solutions to program problems, and direct work of incumbents assigned to the program from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget and act as an advisor to the program team. Expertise with standard concepts, industry practices, and procedures within a particular field are required. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish company goals.
Duties: Manage projects of moderate to high complexity. Proactively engage stakeholders to identify needs and gain buy-in. Present plans to management teams for approval. Lead project related meetings for kick off, discovery, status update, close out and post mortems, etc. Collect status from team members and suppliers and present the aggregated information to management in the form of metrics, risks, and actions. Identify risk areas and build mitigation plans. Lead project cost estimation and management. Lead change control processes and proactively manage impact. Coordinate and facilitate cross functional activities ensuring that the project is on time and on- budget. Manage day-to-day operational aspects of all project timelines, scope and budget. Develop and present project documentation such as agendas, project milestone documents, project charters, schedules, communication and project plans and both summary and detailed status reports. Ensure all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Proactively engage clients on technical matters and/or project subject matter, maintaining a healthy client relationship. Contribute to project success through industry, technology, or process expertise. Contribute to internal process and methodology development. Contribute to activity and documents supporting client business development and on-going relationships.
Experience: Minimum of 6 years leading moderate to high complexity projects in either a project management or a senior technical role.

Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience; PM certifications preferred.

Extensive team leadership experience, contributing to the professional and personal development of team members. Expertise in developing and documenting project plans. Expertise in requirements analysis & decomposition. Experience with all phases of the SDLC understanding current industry concepts, practices, and procedures. Expertise with multiple project management methodologies, e.g. waterfall, agile. Ability to be organized and detail oriented. Ability to learn and use new technologies quickly. Ability to efficiently resolve problems. Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
