About The Role

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to define the requirements management approach to be used on a project. This includes the techniques used to gather and document requirements, how traceability will be applied on the project, attributes that should be captured against requirements, the requirements prioritization process, how changes will be managed and how to track risks, issues and assumptions that arise during the requirements effort.

Responsibilities

• Defines, designs, and models processes according to business requirements, as well as business strategy and business architecture.
• Interviews the stakeholders and key subject matter experts to elicit the requirements.
• Documents Business Requirements and reviews and validates with the project team.
• Leads and co-ordinates business use-case modeling, by outlining and delimiting the organization being modeled.
• Details the processes for a part of the organization by describing the workflow of one or several business use-cases.
• Specifies the business roles, and systems needed to realize a business use case.
• Understands the end user requirements, their strategies, and their goals.
• Manages requirements throughout the project lifecycle as they are realized.
• Understands stakeholder needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem.
• Support cost/benefit analysis to align technology solutions to business strategy
• Gather and catalog functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests.
• Provides subject matter expertise within the business/technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions.
• Determines the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications and assist with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design.
• Ensures changes to the application are compliant with standards and policies.
• For vendor applications, works closely with the vendor to ensure changes meet requirements including assisting with acceptance testing where needed.
• Helps with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs.
• Documents processes, procedures and workflows associated with applications.
• Participates in continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions.
• Participates in or supports delivery of architecture designs and implementations.
• Clearly displays how their proposed solution or course of action is superior to other options by using facts/evidence to support it.
• Tracks the effectiveness of solutions through by incorporating technical and financial factors when comparing different approaches to solutions.
  
  

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional work experience as a business and / or technical analyst on a data & analytics project.
• Understands all roles and responsibilities within their team and uses the tool sets within the software lifecycle.
• Contributes to artifacts needed for governance forums.
• Creates regular updates to keep stakeholders informed.
• Demonstrates ability to identify root causes to solve complex problems in highly unstable situations.
• Basic awareness of products, services, business flows and strategy.
• Has knowledge of software development.
• Understands risks and can apply the controls necessary to mitigate. Knows when to escalate risks.
• Basic understanding of financial data and the impact that their role has within a team.
• Actively participates in planning ceremonies.
• Has the ability to complete a task / story against plan / sprint commitment.
• Demonstrates working knowledge of Agile/Waterfall frameworks.
• Proficient in designing, developing and executing test cases; Knowledge of test automation and tools.
• Possesses basic knowledge of automation and continuous delivery practices.
• Ability to participate in their role and utilize necessary tools with minimal guidance
• Application & Data Architecture: Possesses an understanding of architecture and standards.
• UX background is highly desirable.
• Experience in Confluence is highly desirable.
• Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent degree.
• Must be open to up to 25% monthly travel to the client location, as required by the client
