Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Acts as site champion for Corporate HR policy and serves as key liaison between site and headquarters
• Identifies and reports any employee issues or trends that may influence site ability to meet business objectives
• Provides feedback and suggestions to support the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, including any location-specific concerns.
• Serves as project lead for implementation of HR initiatives within the site as assigned by the Director of HR, monitors procedures, and provides continuous feedback on policy effectiveness
• Develops and presents written and oral presentations to employees as required
• Supports and champions organizational change initiatives
• Provides HR services at the site level to internal and external customers that create value, support Company's business goals, and increase employee satisfaction. Functional responsibility includes but is not limited to;

-Recruitment & Staffing

-HR policy administration
• Serves as resource for legal/EEO issues
• Ensures site compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Administers workers' comp, OSHA and other safety related reporting
• Establishes relationships with local suppliers and government agencies in support of employment and workforce activities
• Serves as key site representative for relevant internal compliance program activities
• Partners with Director of HR and Director of EHS to manage safety program including continuous improvement activities and best practices
• Actively supports accident/incident reporting and investigation policies per approved procedures
• Counsels and advises management in all departments in the region/site on HR and people issues.
• Assists line management in developing skills to manage human resources effectively through implementation of company-wide training initiatives and HR management and leadership programs.
• Hires, trains, coaches and develops direct reports
• Provides regular reporting of key performance indicators including but not limited to safety performance, recruiting and retention statistics, headcount, performance and counseling statistics etc.
• Provides additional regular subjective assessment and reporting of ongoing HR activities for the site
• Contributes to development of annual budget and establishment of KPI targets
• Manages within approved budget and to KPI targets
• Ensures accurate and complete JD's for positions within the department
• Supervises local HR team or shared support staff
• Manages and administers unemployment compensation claims
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in business or Human Resources related field; or the equivalent of work experience and/or training
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience and one year training and development experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
- Customer service orientation, including ability to communicate effectively and work with individuals at all levels of the organization
- High level of computer skills is critical including use of MS Office Suite; HRIS experience high desirable.
UKG experience is a plus - Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
