What will your day look like?

You will be acting as a communicator and facilitator, is responsible to partner with internal stakeholders and the leadership team to improve processes and track strategic goals, business planning, key KPIs, etc. This analyst serves as a primary point of contact and organizes cross-functional activities to ensure completion of the projects and deliverables and seek out the best way to improve the processes and increase effectiveness. The Sr. Business Analyst identifies business challenges and is able to perform business and financial analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations. In addition, this individual works closely with Alliant's leadership team in the Lending and Decision Science department to coordinate materials for the departmental presentations and meetings. This role actively engages with senior leaders within the department as well as Risk, Finance and Technology partners. Good business understandings and communications skills are essential.

As a Sr. Business Analyst, you will have the unique opportunity to work with cross-functional and senior leadership teams to understand and help shape the direction of lending business, while exercising problem solving, influencing, and communication skills.

Act as primary liaison between the internal stakeholders, line of businesses and senior leaders to bridge the gaps and improve efficiency and productivity

Develop a deep understanding of the retail lending business and departmental goals

Perform business and financial analysis to solve business challenges and make strategic or tactical recommendations

Support the Lending and Decision Science Department to streamline end-to-end processes and reporting cadence

Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders within or across departments

Manage and track the business plan and reporting cadence on key KPIs

Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and make strategic or tactical recommendation by using analysis

Contribute business insights to all facets of lending business: strategy, product, risk, operation, etc.

Manage multiple work streams and independently solve problems

Facilitate the communication plans at all level in the organization

Assist with meeting materials and presentations, and coordinate departmental meetings

Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.

Qualifications:
What makes you a great fit?

You'll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Finance, Business, Economics and related areas; Master's degree or MBA is preferred, and you have:

5+ years' experience in Financial Services industry, with general knowledge of retail lending

Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of MS project and Visio is a plus

Strong presentation skills and ability to convey the manage in a concise manner

Must have strong attention to detail, the ability to work across the enterprise and within cross-functional teams

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization

Ability to prioritize and multitask through multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment

Analytic mindset and ability to interpret data, identify drivers, and/or make recommendations
