We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Angola, IN. As the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing support to Human Resources Manager on an on-going basis. You will provide effective administration of policies, procedures, guidelines and benefits. This role also supports company employee relations efforts, selects and places all hourly personnel (recruiting), and administers EEO/AAP for facility.

The team is ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager. We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication throughout.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Ensures a comprehensive and timely program to meet all hourly staffing requirements in the Angola facility.

+ Development and implementation of plant policies, practices and procedures necessary for the well-being of the Company and its Team Members.

+ Record systems for personnel practices, including attendance information, performance appraisal activity, discipline, statistics, etc.

+ Administration of Company's benefits plans, by presenting and interpreting both benefits programs for union and non-union employees.

+ Assist with coordination of company training program, including recognition of training needs, development of materials, and delivery of training to Team Leaders, Management and Hourly Team members, and documentation records.

+ Plan and prepare succession planning with Department Managers for salaried staff.

+ Conduct wage and salary administration programs for facility.

+ Develop and maintain procedures programs for providing employee services to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale.

+ Work with union to address grievances and assist in negotiations.

Required Skills

+ Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in Excel

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE:

+ 3-5 years Human Resources experience in positions of increasing accountability.

+ Union experience preferred.

EDUCATION:

+ Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university, preferably in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or related field preferred.
