Summer Intern - Human Resources, Carmel, Indiana

As an Allegion Human Resources Professional, you will contribute meaningful work and make a direct impact to our business through the attraction, retention and development of our greatest asset - our people!. You will gain valuable experience in a wide range of Human Resources principles and processes such as talent acquisition, employee relations, and other foundational HR processes.

What You Will Do:

• Gain an understanding of organizational employee relations
• Enable business insights and decision making through the use of HR Analytics
• Support the business by acting as the liaison for benefits, payroll, policy, and HR systems related questions
• Participate in and facilitate various training activities
• Participate in investigations and termination meetings
• Support the integration of Engagement and Strengths projects as well as the Allegion Leadership behaviors
• Partner with the HR team and Global Talent Acquisition on the recruiting process from start to finish
• Expand knowledge of Human Resources through a variety of different projects that may become available during the summer

What You Need to Succeed:

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Human Resources Management, Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
• Ability to work in both a team and individual setting with demonstrated ability to influence effectively
• Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.
• Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
• A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion's business and customers
