Talent Acquisition Specialist | The Profession | [Remote, FT]

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates for positions as well as onboarding new hires. They will identify opportunities to build diverse talent pools, establish trust and partnerships with hiring managers, identify culture alignment through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer the interviewing and onboarding process, and ensure a positive new hire experience. Developing and executing recruitment plans and strategies are primary responsibilities to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent. Essential Functions

Talent Acquisition

  • Consult with leaders, hiring managers, and Team and Culture on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation, and sourcing strategies.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build a pipeline of candidates
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop a robust employee brand presence and manage associated platforms (Glassdoor, Indeed, others)
  • Execute resume review, phone screens, candidate interviews, recommend a final selection of applicants, and close out qualified candidates.
  • Arrange pre-employment testing, background & references screenings, and Caliper evaluations, with continuous evaluation and input of our current vendors and tools
  • Place and update all job postings on various platforms including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards, and staffing partners.
  • Represent the company at recruiting events.
  • Communicate with managers and employees regularly to promote referral programs and internal opportunities.
  • Create offer letters, maintain applicant tracking system, recruiting reports, and other staffing support functions as needed.
  • Respond timely to internal and external applicant situations, and applicant requests as required.
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
  • Develop and execute best practice training for hiring managers
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Onboarding
  • Cooperatively work with hiring managers to ensure a streamlined onboarding packet is developed for an optimized onboarding process.
  • Serve as the point of contact between departments as a liaison of support during onboarding.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding (Bearings Program) and ensure required benchmarks are met during the first 90 days.
  • Support in the development and execution of training materials, videos, etc.
  • Evaluate current processes and drive for continuous improvement to ensure an optimal and meaningful experience for every new employee.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online/social media recruiting.
  • Proven ability to communicate and effectively "sell" an organization's value proposition.
  • Must possess excellent oral/written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with GSuite and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Strong customer service, negotiation skills, and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.
Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE
  • 2+ years of direct talent acquisition and interviewing experience required
  • Experience in education or software a plus
Work Environment

The duties of this position are typical of those performed in a home office setting with normal ranges of temperature. The majority of tasks will be performed while sitting at a desk.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to travel to various recruiting events -25%. When traveling:
    • The ability to lift or push your suitcase.
    • Ability to carry/lift up to 25-50 lbs of presentation materials for customers or for conference presentations, etc.
VISUAL & TACTILE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time. The Art of Education University is an online university. Therefore 95-98% of one's time will be on or using technology.
  • Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.
  • Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.

Compensation and Benefits

POSITION DETAILS

Structured as a full-time, salaried position. Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. Payroll is issued on a semi-monthly basis paid on the 15th and last day of each month.

THE PROCESS
