Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, asset-liability management, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.
The Personal Lending and Retail Services FP&A Lead Consultant will report to the Head of Personal Lending and Retail Services Finance and lead execution of consolidated financial planning and management reporting efforts for the Personal Lending and Retail Services Business within Consumer Lending.
Responsibilities Include the Following:
- Lead the Personal Lending and Retail Services Planning and Forecasting process, including the completion of the annual budget, forecast updates, and monthly estimates. Partner with other Finance teams as necessary to optimize the forecasting process and drive improved outcomes
- Lead Personal Lending and Retail Services Management Reporting processes, including the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes. Coordinate changes to the Management Reporting hierarchy as necessary
- Lead the preparation of monthly Business Review materials and other standard business reporting deliverables across Personal Lending & Retail Services. Also lead the coordination and preparation of ad hoc business reporting as necessary
- Lead the preparation of Personal Lending & Retail Services contributions to the Consumer Lending Quarterly Earnings materials and any other ad hoc investor relations materials
- Contribute to Consumer Lending's CCAR and Resolution Planning processes on behalf of Personal Lending & Retail Services, including all necessary incremental scenario forecasting, Risk Assessments, Resolution plans, and other deliverables as necessary
- Provide financial advice and guidance for the LOB's strategic plan as well as other long-range line of business level plans
- Build relationships and partner closely with Personal Lending & Retail Services senior leaders and partners as necessary to drive results and execute on deliverables
- Work with and coordinate miscellaneous other deliverables as necessary, including model governance, Issue Management, Business Resiliency, etc.
- Develop and enhance business and product analytics and metrics to support business strategies and decision making to drive improved financial outcome
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, accounting, analytics or reporting
Desired Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
- Ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization
Other Desired Qualifications
- Experience in developing financial projections and establishing financial goals
- Experience with cost benefit analysis on projects/initiatives
- Strong knowledge of financial products as well as the connections between the balance sheet, non-interest income, the underlying business drivers and revenue composition
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change, develop innovative solutions, build effective partnerships, and manage cross-functional projects in a matrixed organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to coherently present complex financial topics tailored to audiences of varying seniority and functions in order to create understanding and influence decisions
