Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant Part-time

Job description

We are a small but growing Pediatric practice seeking an experienced, part-time medical receptionist/medical assistant. Our solo pediatrician and dedicated staff are committed to providing outstanding medical care to our pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients. We strive to maintain a positive work/life balance for our staff. This position is for Tue, Wed, Thu, with other days as needed.

Duties include:

• Greeting and checking in patients
• Answering phones and making appointments
• Verifying insurance, collecting co-pays
• Sending referrals
• Communicating with patients, families and co-workers with professionalism and compassion
• Patient triage, vital signs, documenting in EMR
• Throat cultures, fingersticks, UA, PKU, COVID and Flu testing, allergy testing, and other clinical assessments
• Well-child care and patient education
• Working with the physician and staff to provide effective and efficient care
• Pediatric experience preferred
• EMR experience preferred

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Pediatric: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
