Job Description

Job Summary:

The HR Business Partner has ownership of a variety of human resources activities; serves as first-level counselor and coach to leaders; conducts investigations and recommends resolution; advises senior leaders on and implements HR plans, programs, practices, and policies; identifies gaps, researches best practices, recommends and implements solutions for the full scope of HR plans, programs, practices, and policies. This role understands business priorities and translates them into the most value-added work and can identify problems and drive solutions.

Location: This role is onsite at the Teledyne FLIR facility in Wilsonville, Oregon.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

* Drive HR programs, projects and activities, advise and guide managers and employees on such matters as performance management, employee relations, development planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, training, HR process improvement, HR metrics/reporting, candidate interviewing and selection and more.
* Provide day-to-day HR contact for local management and employees to address questions and issues that arise, provide sound HR guidance and counsel in a responsive and timely manner.
* Ensure company policies and practices are in compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and procedures, including record keeping, policy statements, non-discriminatory practices, regulation compliance, affirmative action, etc.
* Understand the business supported beyond the HR function and influence the local organization to ensure superior operations and business outcomes.
* Assist with the maintenance and execution of the Company's new hire orientation program.
* Build engaging relationships with stakeholder through trust, teamwork, and direct communication.
* Monitor employee engagement with a "hands-on" approach that may include remote interactions.
* Demonstrate a passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement.
* Drive effective employee relations, retention, and reward programs.

Job Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist/Business Partner, or equivalent mix of education and experience.
* Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, peers and management.
* Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills.
* Solid HR Generalist skills.
* Knowledge of HRIS systems, Workday HRIS System preferred.
* High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) strongly desired.
* Knowledge of State and Federal laws impacting employment and ability to interpret and apply applicable laws and regulations.
* HR Certification is a plus.
