This is a lab-based position within the functional genomics team to help devise and execute novel CRISPR screens and apply genetic engineering tools to drive early target validation. The candidate will contribute to novel discovery and work across Servier's multidisciplinary team to help define our future oncology portfolio.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Perform cell-based assays to assess the impact of small molecule inhibitors, shRNAs, or CRISPR-mediated knockouts on cancer cells and/or immune cells.
2. Perform mechanistic studies to characterize the cellular pathways impacted by inhibition of novel cancer and/or immune targets.
3. Run CRISPR genome wide screens to identify and explore novel targets in the tumor driver and I/O space
4. Collaborate with internal and external research groups. Work cross functionally across the international organization
5. Document, analyze, and interpret results to be presented in group settings.
Skills and Education:
1. PhD in cell & molecular biology or related discipline with 0-3 years of industry/academic experience in the field. BS/MS with 2+ years of experience considered.
