About the job:
The Red Hat Cloud Partner Product Management team is looking for a Principal Product Manager to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for making Red Hat's products and services available in the public cloud. You will work closely with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, and Red Hat Application Services product management teams as well as engineering and technical business development teams to formulate a solid multiple-architecture strategy for delivering cloud-based offerings. You'll participate in the overall product and go-to-market strategies for how Red Hat does business in the cloud while working with internal stakeholders to deliver on innovative solutions and enterprise-level product offerings for the cloud marketplaces. You'll need to have great communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. This is a great opportunity to work on a fast-growing offering alongside some of the brightest minds in open source. This is a U.S. remote role or you can choose to work out of our offices in Boston, MA; Westford, MA; or Raleigh, NC. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do:
Collect and document input from users, cloud partners, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs; develop a strategy and roadmap for delivering Red Hat's products and services in the public cloud
Research competitive solutions, both commercial and do-it-yourself alternatives, documenting their relative strengths and weakness to develop competitive positioning and increase the value of our offerings in the cloud
Prioritize and document requirements for new releases of our cloud-based offerings
Work with product and engineering teams across the product portfolio to guide enhancements needed to make our offerings cloud ready and consumable by customers from the hyperscaler marketplaces
Support sales and marketing activities including creating presentations, blogs, demos, and other technical collateral for our offerings
Review and provide feedback on the documentation for our cloud offerings
What you will bring:
5+ years of enterprise software industry experience working in product management, technical marketing, or a similar technical product or customer-facing role
Experience in infrastructure software, including operating systems, containers, private cloud, and public cloud
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar hyperscaler
Bachelor's or graduate degree preferably in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Willingness to travel up to 20% in line with Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines
