About This Role
Iron Mountain is seeking an exceptional market research lead to help build out an analytics and market insight practice within our Strategy Group. You will deliver insights and recommendations to help drive corporate strategy, portfolio strategy, strategic growth initiatives, and market analysis. The successful candidate will have in-depth experience in qualitative and quantitative primary market research, be an outstanding communicator and story-teller, with a gift for delivering the WIM (what it means) from any analysis. You will thrive in a diverse environment.
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Market Analytics and Insights, you will help define and execute primary and secondary research projects to help inform and drive high-impact strategic initiatives. These could include market receptivity to new offerings, customer needs and pain points, likely market changes over time in our product categories, and a whole host of other strategic initiatives. The overarching focus will be on growing our business, and succeeding in a highly competitive and dynamic market.
Successful Candidates Will Have the Following Skills and Background:
- Innovative self-starter
- Intellectually curious and passionate for delivering compelling insights that make a difference.
- Desire to be a wide-band thought contributor, not simply a market research provider.
- In-depth quantitative and qualitative primary market research design and execution expertise.
- Survey design and analysis expertise.
- Help guide decision makers in the right approaches to research a wide variety of strategic objectives
- Market research specific statistics and analytics expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with a gift for simplifying complex analysis to deliver the WIM at an executive level.
- Design and execute qualitative research, including 1:1 interviews, online modalities, and group moderation.
- B2B business acumen
- Passion for building research capabilities within a new group
- Comfort either managing research vendors, or designing and fielding internally, depending on the most effective approach for the strategic initiative at hand.
- Background in strategy and/or technology industries a plus.
- MBA a plus
- Minimum 3-5+years of work experience. More would be an asset.
- International experience a plus
