Job description
We are seeking a high achieving professional with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our team as a Senior Business Development Analyst, working out of our Boston location. You will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing findings, summarizing recommendations. You should be familiar with sourcing data utilizing internal reports, databases, market reports, qualitative interviews, and publicly-available information. In this role, you will be reporting directly to Associate Director of Business Development.
You must be highly self-motivated, always professional, and able to prioritize your workload in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Things change fast and frequently here, so we need someone at the top of their game who can shift gears, change directions, and keep going at pace. You have to be a smart, strategic thinker and a tactical executer. Attention to detail and business savvy all come into play here and you will use them every day.
In this role, you will help:
•Translate ideas and insights into strong PowerPoint, Word, and Excel documents,
creating a compelling narrative.
•Achieve a detailed understanding of the drivers of profitability and returns by working across functions to gather, analyze and present data in a way that shapes our core business decisions.
•Support leadership team by collecting new data, developing reports and models and ad hoc analyses to support business needs.
•Learn new topics and skills with a combination of intellectual curiosity, desire for professional growth and receptiveness to feedback.
•Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with business partners across teams and levels.
•Organize tasks to meet deadlines and balancing competing demands from multiple stakeholder groups.
•Manage and prioritizing complex competing priorities with ease in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Professional qualifications include:
•BS or equivalent undergraduate degree; MBA or Master's degree a plus.
•At least 2 years of experience in a corporate analytical role; experience in a rapidly-scaling venture/private-equity backed organization or top-tier management consulting firm preferred
•Highly organized and applying strong analytical skills, judgement, attention to detail and creativity to effectively solve complex problems.
•Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with advanced modeling and reporting is a plus.
•Proven experience using data to identify implications and make meaningful business recommendations
•Exposure to the real estate or life sciences industries a plus.
•Project management experience a plus.
