Manager / Senior Manager, Human Resource Operations

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the Human Resources group at Mersana Therapeutics. In this position, you will undertake a variety of operational duties to help our growing team. The Human Resources team strives to create and deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. You will work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the success of ongoing HR projects and operations end-to-end. This role reports to the Head of Total Rewards.
How do you know if you're the right fit?

Job Duties will include:

  • Responsible for ensuring that our HR initiatives and processes run smoothly by partnering with key members of the HR team, Legal, IT, and Finance
  • Effectively communicating with employees, managers, supervisors, Legal, and HR relating to employee inquiries (related to Total Rewards & systems)
  • Processing benefit elections and maintaining employee records
  • Serve as project manager for ad-hoc projects as needed by HR, Legal, and Facilities
  • Assist with the implementation of Job Architecture at Mersana
  • Assist with the implementation of WorkDay in 2022
  • Recommend software that may address the needs of employees (ie - reward & recognition tools)
  • Partner with Sr. Coordinator, HR with onboarding new employees and conducting new employee orientations
  • Responsible for off-boarding process


Additional qualifications include:

  • 5+ years Human Resources experience or equivalent experience focused on customer service delivery
  • Background in benefits management preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and demonstrated experience building HR Infrastructure for growth
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing organization and comfort in taking on cross-functional duties and building processes from scratch
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Position is eligible for bonus, option awards and benefits including medical, dental and life insurance, 401(k) participation, vacation, and paid holidays. Position is required to be on site a minimum of 2 days per week.
