Job description
The main purpose of this role as Learning & Development Partner is to evaluate current learning and development opportunities and create content based on functional needs. This role is also responsible for the design and delivery of digital learning using our digital LMS Zunos. Additionally, you would map out (in close collaboration with the People Team and the Professional Education team) a library of face to face and digital curriculum content based upon the insights and data from an annual Training Needs Analysis. Examples of the curriculum could be Sales for non-salespeople, Performance Management, Leadership Essentials, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, The Art of Difficult Conversations etc.
The Learning & Development Partner will also deliver 1:1 business coaching to individuals as and when required based upon a structured coaching methodology created in house by the Professional Education Team. This partner will also serve as a back up resource for international commercial training as and when requested.
Role objectives:
* Deliver learning experiences to our US based employees by developing a learning and development program.
* Ensure all employees are capable and engaged to be set up for success to thrive within the organization.
* Design and deliver digital, physical, and remote learning experiences for all team members.
* Embed and drive our company values in our learning and development program (Audacity, Grit, Data Driven, Accountability, Authenticity).
As a Learning & Development Partner, your responsibilities will include:
* Identify training and development needs through training needs analysis, and regular consultation with the leadership team and department managers.
* Design and expand training and development programs based on the needs of the organization
* Work with the Professional Education and People team to produce programs that are satisfactory to all relevant parties
* Consider the costs of planned programs and keep within budgets
* Plan and assess the 'return on investment' of any training or development program
* Develop and deliver effective role specific induction programs for new staff to improve direct on the job training.
* Produce training materials for in-house courses
* Create and/or deliver a range of e-learning packages
* Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
* Amend and revise programs as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
* Help line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
* Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
* Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.
What we are looking for in you:
* Proven experience as corporate trainer minimum 3 years
* Understanding of instructional design methodologies
* Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
* Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching
* Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint)
* Digital LMS experience
* Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
* Organizational and time management abilities
* Critical thinking and decision making
* BSc/BA in Business, HR, Coaching or relevant field is a plus
* Certification in instructional design (e.g. CIPD/TAP) is a plus
