Job Description


You will be working in the fast-growing and rewarding field of life sciences where employees are driven by their passion to learn and make a difference in the world.

The ERP Business Analyst/Project Manager is in the IT department and will be responsible for working with users and cross-functional business teams to support company systems and software, ensuring alignment with business goals on assigned, approved projects and is responsible for leading all ERP project initiatives, project management, process management, and related reporting in a multi-facility, direct manufacturing environment. This is a fulltime role that has flexibility to combine working remotely and out of the Fortis Life Sciences HQ located in Newton, MA.

Experience with implementing or supporting any ERP system is MANDATORY. Candidates with EDI, ETL and SQL will be the perfect candidate. This individual will be working to improve the business by addressing problems and opportunities through improved business processes and enterprise applications. They will be involved in the entire project lifecycle and system support activities. As needed, supervises IT personnel, contractors, and vendor personnel in completing small projects in their definition and implementation.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in defining the requirements and processes for the implementation of and subsidiary integrations of a new company ERP system.
  • Lead cross-functional business requirements sessions to define user needs and work closely with all the business areas to understand their opportunities, limitations and expectations.
  • Translate and communicate the output of process definition and user requirements to the technology team and together develop cost and timing impact of requirements. Coordinate with technology and the business areas on all procedural requirements for the effective, on-going use of the ERP system across Fortis Life Sciences and its subsidiaries
  • Create required documentation of all financial and manufacturing interfaces.
  • Work closely with the program manager to determine plan feasibility and development timing.
  • Provide technical expertise, basic training, and support for the ERP system.
  • Assist in managing ongoing ERP projects and integrations and reports status to senior management.

Qualifications
  • Experience with implementation and management of a company-wide ERP system and various system integrations with that system (web, SalesForce, EDI, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and experience supporting a tier 1 ERP system in a Life Sciences manufacturing environment
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an ERP Business Systems Analyst role
  • Demonstrable change management experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of typical manufacturing company ERP modules (General Ledger, Purchasing, A/P, Order Management, A/R, MRP, Production Orders, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills required; experience in successfully communicating with business users, IT and vendors
  • Experience in executing tasks related to project definition and planning, business and technical requirements development, and implementation tasks such as training, systems and integration testing, and cutover support phases.
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP systems
  • 5+ years experience working in a manufacturing industry
  • Not specifically focused/biased towards one ERP system; Experience in various ERP systems preferred
  • Knows the ERP module data integration points
  • Full professional proficiency in English
