Controller

Stabilus is a global leader in the production of gas springs and dampers on five continents. This position will be located at ACE Controls, Inc., a Stabilus company. ACE is the internationally recognized expert in the field of industrial damping technology. The company's portfolio now includes automation control, motion control, vibration control and safety products.

Job Summary:

The Controller will be responsible for financial management of Stabilus' manufacturing operations in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supervise and perform monthly closing and financial reporting activities. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reports, KPI's and other key data. Provide analysis of results for local and corporate management.
• Business Planning. Lead development of five-year business plan. Coordinate the leadership team to assemble all aspects of the plan.
• Regular monitoring and forecasts of financial results and "early warning" of problem areas.
• Working capital management. Actively manage accounts receivable, payables and inventory.
• Supervise general accounting:

• Ensure accuracy of monthly accounting entries.
• Ensure efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivables.

• Supervise IT department.
• Liaison with external auditors and tax service providers.
• Treasury Management. Responsible for management of cash and banking. Review cash flow forecasting.
• Drive cost efficiency and economic behavior throughout the business.
• Capital spending. Prepare annual capital spending budget and review capital spending analysis.
• Internal controls. Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal controls in accordance with corporate guidelines and local regulations and guidelines in connection with the global policy and procedure are implemented and followed. Set a tone of high integrity.
• Supervise ad hoc analytical projects.

Education, Training, Certifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Business with emphasis in Finance and Accounting preferred.

Experience:

· Minimum of five to ten years of experience working for a manufacturing company.

· Minimum of three years of managerial/supervisory experience.

· Ideal candidate will have experience with QAD and/or SAP ERP systems.
