Loc Performance Products, LLC provides full services for complex mechanical products, fabricated structures and systems that range from complete design services to prototype manufacturing, testing, production launch, full rate production and product service and sustainment. Loc provides quality products and services at affordable prices through a lean organizational structure and four facilities, three in Michigan and one in Texas, that span 910,000 square feet. The Plymouth, MI facility serves as corporate headquarters and specializes in suspension, driveline and track systems. The Lansing and Lapeer Michigan based facilities specialize in fabrications and armor product solutions. Loc's Texas facility, located near the Army customer's Red River Army Depot in Texas, supports product kitting and integration for both the Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and Bradley Fighting Vehicle platforms. Job Title: Assistant Recruiter
Department: Human Resources
Summary Reviews, screens and selects candidates to fill open positions across all locations by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Create job announcements/job postings for open positions
- Locate and identify potential qualified applicants using databases, online job postings, referrals, etc. for all Loc locations
- Communicate with potential applicants by phone, email or in person
- Screen resumes and interview candidates for open positions within the organizations
- Assists with internal and external hiring efforts
- Utilize company Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to accurately track and progress applicants through the selection process
- Negotiates salaries and employment offers with selected candidates
- Administers background checks, drug-screens and physical exams in accordance with the company's pre-employment policies
- Informs candidates on corporate benefits, salary and corporate environment
- Attends job fairs and networking events
- Works with third-party recruitment agencies
- Any other tasks that the Corporate Recruiting Mgr. or HRD has advised needs to be completed

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A A.) from four-year college or university and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred, but not required.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
