Ongoing Contract (remote for now)

This Financial Analyst/Audit role will be part of a highly specialized group that plays a lead role in root cause analysis and process improvements to mitigate risk for our client's Global Purchasing contracts. The Financial Analyst is responsible for proactively identifying supplier overpayment situations, collaborate with Purchasing to recover overpayment amounts and ensure contracts are updated to reflect accurate contract pricing.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial analysis and / or support using our client's global systems to determine the cause of pricing errors on their contracts with the supply base
  • Analyze ad-hoc reports
  • Interface with various levels within the group and individual settings
  • Review cases and key areas where differences are identified between the purchasing system and the supplier contracts
  • Drive closure of open cases and collection of overpayments within stipulated time frame
  • Perform special studies at leadership's request
  • Identify and collect annual supplier cost recoveries

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auto Manufacturing, Business, or Audit
  • 5+ years working experience in an Accounting, Finance, Auto Manufacturing, Business, or Audit position
  • Detail oriented to ensure high level of accuracy in case review reports
  • Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, and strong analytical abilities where problems are complex
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Solid Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
