Responsibilities
As an Investor Relations Manager, you ensure we have sufficient funding for our projects and maintain vital relationships with private investors. In a given day, your tasks may include:
- Prospect for new investors through networking and research, schedule meetings and follow-up. Meetings may include travel and/or require a flexible schedule.
- Generate and convert incoming investor referrals and leads, as well as close repeat investors.
- Support our investor relations program, which seeks to maximize shareholder value by identifying, attracting, and retaining long-term investors.
- Work with Partners and Investor Relations team to develop and deliver clear and compelling content for current and potential investors regarding strategy, fund offerings, past financial results, and expected future financial performance.
- Serve as the Roers Companies' liaison with new and prospective clients, providing exceptional and timely client service, and effective internal and external communication
- Keep investors informed regarding existing investments and new investment opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 8+ years of experience in related roles (Investor Relations, Account Manager, Sales, Financial Advisor, Investment Banking)
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, etc.)
- Advanced degree, CAIA and/or CFA desirable
- Ability to communicate professionally with people of all levels internally and externally
- Ability to travel to meet investors and flexibility to attend breakfast and dinner appointments.
- Experience working with high-net-worth investors and their advisors preferred
- Ability to build rapport with investors
- Demonstrates ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Juniper Square experience is a plus)
- Ability to operate effectively in a fluid organization; able to get things done and move initiatives forward in a high change environment.
- Capital raising experience and a consistent track record of success through high-net-worth investor relationships
- Real estate investment experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
